In this exhibition, Fisher makes the viewer feel what it’s like to live how she does–in her room, online. Fisher conveys how dedicated she is to her hobbies while also showing the personal side of what she does and how she expresses her devotion to her favorite celebrities.``The Evolution of MyaAlissa,” is a deep dive-style video outlining almost her entire life that she’s spent on the internet. She paints a series of portraits of her family and herself in the style of giant decorated photocards making fan art highly personal. Fisher puts her family members on the same high pedestal she puts her idols, even though the relationships are different. Finally, Fisher replicated her bedroom in miniature, a space incredibly special to her curated precisely to match her ever changing current interests.Despite the highly personal nature of the exhibition, the work equally comments on a lifestyle that is not specific to Fisher, a universal online life of performance and persona to which others may relate.
